CSI Case #231

Today I am playing along with the CSI Case File #231. It’s been quite a while since I have done one of these challenges… I love getting out of my comfort zone to incorporate all of the colours.

 Here is my layout!

Evidence: white background,  stripes, eye glasses, string.

Testimony: I used the words super, wow, awesome,  and also wrote using exclamations!

Christmas Tags

This post is a tad over due. Back in November I created a few tags  for The Paperie to share on their blog during the month of December. And I totally forgot to share them here, so finally, here they are.

This tag is inspired by Christy Tomlinson’s Boot Girl series. I simply hand drew the picture and painted it with watercolour crayons and watercolour pencils.

This is my woodland Christmas fairy. She is hand drawn and painted using acrylic paint, watercolour pencils and Gelatos. The berry headpiece is a Kaisercraft rub on.

This tag’s background was created with Distress Stain. Next I used Distress Ink to stamp the pattern using a Dina Wakley stamp. For the small stars I mixed some gold Distress Paint in Art Basic 3D Gloss Gel, and swiped it through a stencil. The big star is simply cardstock painted with the Distress Paint. The sentiment is a Kaisercraft stamp.

For this tag I first stamped the Tim Holtz blueprint stamp and embossed it with Hero Arts white embossing powder. Then I used Distress Ink for the background. The sentiment is a Kaisercraft stamp. To finish it off I used the Fuse tool to enclose the whole tag with mica flakes and glitter.

To create this tag, I first painted it with black gesso. Next I dabbed white gesso over it, letting some spots of the black show through. Then I added colour using Gelatos. The sentiment is a Kaisercraft stamp, embossed with gold embossing poweder. The stars are wood veneer covered with gold embossing powder. The white spots and edging was done with a white paint Sharpie marker.
