Back today with another layout from this past weekend. For this one I used a sketch from Stuck?! Sketches.
The background of this one has a couple of layers. I started by using gel medium through a stencil. But when I didn’t like how it looked I covered it with washi tape and went over the tape with gesso to tone it down. If you look closely you can still see the diamond shape of the stencil showing through. Finally I scribbled the circle using a black pen and red paint, and added some flicks of gold Heidi Swapp mist.
In the end I am happy with how it turned out… which is a relief since I had been saving that background paper that I love so much!
