Sit, Scrap, and Relax!

A peek into my scrappy life.

Challenge Accepted!

So my best friend Lori, is not only an amazing friend, but happens to be an amazingly talented scrapbooker. She recently started a blog too so check it out!  And now that we both have blogs we thought it would be fun to give each other challenges once in a while and compare our results!  Lori issued the first challenge which was to use this sketch from the Basic Grey blog.

Now, I love a good sketch, and this is a great one, BUT, I don’t like doing double layouts. I do them on occasion but I generally prefer single page layouts.  I know ‘challenge’ is the name of the game, and I would have challenged myself to do it as a double layout but it’s been a busy week at work and I have a cold so I took it easy on myself and converted this sketch to a single page. I am not in love with how it turned out, but count it as DONE!

If you can’t read the journaling, it says “I love how all summer your name for tank top was “tink tonk”!

The pattern paper used on this layout is from the Buttercup collection by LilybeeDesign. I just love the colour combination. The little camera is a Studio Calico wood veneer. I used Clever Handmade stickers and Tim Holtz grunge board letters for the title.

Guess it’s my turn to issue the next challenge!

  1. love it!!! the colors are beautiful!! thanks for accepting the challenge…now its your turn!!!

  2. That is a great LO! I like the journaling to go with it. Kids come up with the greatest names for things but it’s surprising how quickly we can forget them as they grow.
